There’s a new girl in town! Billie Jean has joined Ocean Rafting’s Hamilton Island fleet, ready to welcome guests on our Half Day Dash and Half Day Splash tours in the Whitsundays.
Completing the trio alongside Love Shack and Valerie, Billie Jean brings Ocean Rafting’s fleet to 12 vessels across our two Whitsundays locations, Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island.
It’s a proud milestone for our family business and everyone who helps keep our yellow boats running.
Half Day Dash and Half Day Splash from Hamilton Island
Guests staying on Hamilton Island can hop aboard Billie Jean for a Half Day Dash to Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, or a Half Day Splash exploring the Whitsundays’ fringing reefs.
A New Chapter for Billie Jean
Like her sister Valerie, Billie Jean has undergone a complete transformation. Our team stripped her back and refitted her, turning her into one of Ocean Rafting’s signature yellow boats.
Seeing her join the Hamilton Island fleet is especially rewarding knowing the hard work, skill and care that went into bringing her to life.

Getting a vessel ready to welcome guests takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes. Billie Jean’s arrival is a credit to the people who put in the hours, solve the problems and find a way to make it all happen.
A massive thank you to our maintenance crew and contractors for your outstanding work, skill and patience. There’s so much that guests don’t see, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you do.
